The film features the story of several oyster farmers, or “aquaculture” farmers, as they show us their ingenious methods for sustainable aquaculture and maintaining Chesapeake Bay water quality.
“DIY: What Can I Do?” is a new crowd sourcing website created by Alex Morrison. Here users post videos and photos to share the good news of environmental activism on YouTube, 12seconds, Flickr, Twitter and Facebook, and it’s as simple as sending an email. Users then have an online “calling card” to share with others and meet other like-minded “greenies” in the process.
I was chosen as an agent for a new social marketing campaign called the Ford Fiesta Movement in May. The requirements included creating a video each month for six months with a chosen theme. The first phase ended in October and is continuing with the Fiesta Movement 2.0.

“Ocean for Life” brings together students of diverse backgrounds and cultures to discover marine science, conservation, and how the ocean connects us all. In this film, students explore the ocean and its sense of place to them. A collaboration between international high school students and graduate students at American University’s Center for Environmental Filmmaking. Shot along the northern California coast.
